Chris called last night at 1130 pm, 1030 am in Iraq. He's missing home and his grandpa. I guess he's caught up in a stop loss for the Army and won't be getting out on time this January. He didn't pass on his address, I guess he's not sure what it is yet. He said he would email the address soon. He' s also planning on blogging again this time. Not sure if it will be this blog or if the Army has an approved site.

My brother joined the Army three years ago. Since then, he went to Iraq for his first tour, which lasted a year. Now, he's part of the surge, going back for his second tour. He joined because he wanted adventure, and I think he's getting it. Maybe more than he expected. Honestly, we hope he doesn't have much adventure at all in Iraq. Here is his blog. Glad to hear Chris is ok. We all get worried when we don't hear anything. Sorry to hear Chris is going to have to extend his "visit"
But, knowing him he'll make the best of the situation and eventually come home to us all. We'll keep Chris in our thoughts and prayers. Love from Kansas
