The Adventurer
My brother joined the Army three years ago. Since then, he went to Iraq for his first tour, which lasted a year. Now, he's part of the surge, going back for his second tour. He joined because he wanted adventure, and I think he's getting it. Maybe more than he expected. Honestly, we hope he doesn't have much adventure at all in Iraq. Here is his blog. Nice pictures. You look very healthy...stay that way! It's been really hot here in Kansas. Several days of 100 plus temps. Today is a little better...only supposed to be in the 80's. Spellman's and Thompson's are coming for a visit on Sunday. It's always nice to see them. We are having problems with the STUMP next door. He doesn't want us to put up a fence. We think he's lost all his marbles...very strange man!!

You look like the go-to man for directions to Burger King. I believe the closest one is about 500 miles from where you are located. I wouldn't risk it with the price of gas like it is. Of course, maybe in oil-rich Iraq gasoline is as plentiful as meadow-muffins in a Kansas cow pasture. Stay put and stay safe. We love the pictures and you, too.--Aunty M
